There are tons of commercial programs like Fireworks or Dreamweaver out there but there are many alternatives that are on par with their commercial competitors. In this post I will not make a comparison nor try to convince you to use a free one. I am just providing you with a list of programs and websites that can help you design better and faster without spending any money at all.

Graphic Design


Gimp is an opensource Photoshop alternative. It has many features and tons of extensions/addons that make it even more powerful. Its interface may be a bit confusing for a beginner but once you get the hang of it you 'll love it. Gimp's official website:  www.gimp.org
